The "Mortise Wrench"

The "Mortise Wrench #052" tool came from the idea of a frustrated locksmith here in Colorado. He struggled with combination of several tools that just wouldn't quite do the job of turning those stubborn mortise locks.  These locks are the ones that you find in many aluminum store front doors.  Most of us have used an old key, pair of channel lock pliers or a screw driver to remove these locks, yet sometime that not quite enough. This tool is just the match for those stubborn locks.

 It won't scratch the paint on the lock or door, dent it or even leave teeth marks from those channel lock pliers.  It's whole purpose is to tighten and un-tighten mortise locks. When doing this task, it does a great job. It works well in cold weather as well as in hot weather, it's easy to grip, can be used with one hand and is a great time saver for the professional locksmith. Keep in mind that it's not made to break the screw that hold the lock in place,  yet if you have a lock that was cross threaded, this tool is perfect for the job.
